The Madeira Island Ultra Trail 2009 is a ultra long competition organized by Clube de Montanha do Funchal and Confraria Trotamontes.

This event will take place on the 05th of September of 2009 in Madeira Island. It comprises two courses one around 105 km in a maximum of 25 hours and the other around 50 km to be done in less than 15 hours. Both are individual competition.

Madeira is a popular tourist destination because of its sun, nature walks, golf resorts, beauty of its scenery, and tasty food. As we intend to show you, in addition to all of these, it can also be an excellent environment for the practice of beautifull walks on the mountain.

Clube de Montanha do Funchal  and Confraria Trotamontes welcome you to the MIUT 2009 website. We are delighted to organize this special event for you and will do our best to make it a first class sporting and social event.
