The Madeira Island Ultra Trail 2008 is a 24 hour ultra long competition organized by Clube de Montanha do Funchal and Confraria Trotamontes.

This event will take place on the 20th of September of 2008 in Madeira Island. It comprises two courses one around 100 km and another around 53 km. Both are individual competition.

Madeira is a popular tourist destination because of its sun, nature walks, golf resorts, beauty of its scenery, and tasty food. As we intend to show you, in addition to all of these, it can also be an excellent environment for the practice of beautifull walks on the mountain.

Clube de Montanha do Funchal  and Confraria Trotamontes welcome you to the MIUT 2008 website. We are delighted to organize this special event for you and will do our best to make it a first class sporting and social event.
