During the course it will be offered drinks in all controls and energy food in 4 controls for UT 100, 2 controls in Trail 55 and one in Trail 25. Under goes a description what runners can expect to find in each competition/control:

UT 100

All the courses have been updated and are already available in different formats, such as:

- GPX format;
- Garmin format (crs);
- Google Earth;
- Google Maps

It's also possible to download a package with course over a military map.

- Everybody must do check-in on the 13th of May in Porto Moniz. In case of not being possible to arrive before 20h00, please let us know by telephone (+351 927071879).

- On the competition day, 14th of May, all the runners taking part in Trail 55 and Trail 25, must go to Porto Moniz and from there, they will be taken by bus to the starting points. It is not allowed runners of both competitions going by themselfs to the starting points;

- Runners of Trail 55 must be in Porto Moniz until 06h45 in front of event centre (CCV Porto Moniz), bus will leave at 07h00;

- Runners of Trail 25 must be in Porto Moniz until 07h45 in front of event centre (CCV Porto Moniz), bus will leave at 08h00;

- Kit-Finisher (for all races) and bags from Encumeada (UT 100) will be given before prize giving ceremony. This will be at 12h00 at the event centre (CCV Porto Moniz).

After the prize giving ceremony on the 15th of May it will be offered a lunch at 13h30 for all the runners taking part in MIUT 2011.

Runners may bring their companions for this lunch, for an extra cost of 10,00 €/person, which must be paid on the check-in day.

On the check-in day (13th fo May) runners will be asked if they will go to lunch or not, and if yes number of companions.

On the check-in (13th of May) runners must present:

- ID or Passaport;
- Medical Record (filled by runner);
- Responsability Term (filled by runner)

Due to the microclimates that can be found in Madeira, where the weather can be completely different on different parts of the Island,  it will be possible to runners taking part in UT 100 to send a bag to Encumeada (km 39).

This bag will be destributed by the organization on the check-in day.

On the 11th of April it will be published a new entry list. All the runners that have not payed the entry fee for MIUT 2011 will be deleted from the actual list.

Entries and payments for Madeira Island Ultra Trail 2011 will finish on the 31st of March.

Online entries form will go offline at midnight.

Obligatory Material

Race: UT 100 and Trail 55

- Mobile phone and battery full charged (roaming activated for runners from out of Portugal);
- Personal cup or tumbler 15cl minimum (water bottle not acceptable);
- Hydration system, minimum 1 litre;

Published a table where it's possible to see procedures that can lead to a penalty or desqualification from any of three races.

MIUT organization has reduced the penalty of all the entries that where not payed yet and new entries.

Payments from 15th of March till 31st of March, are now:

- UT 100 - 100 €  90 €
- Traill 55 - 65 €  55 €

Sixt Rent-a-Car is a partner with Madeira Island Ultra Trail 2011, for so, there is a special price for all the runners taking part in this event on renting-a-car. Important to refer "Madeira Island Ultra Trail 2011" on the email, otherwise a normal price will be presented.

The only way of  getting in Porto Moniz by bus from the Airport of Madeira is taking a bus to Funchal then a another bus to Porto Moniz:

- UT 100 - 3 Points

- Trail 55 -  1 Point
